Hosting vs. domain — what is the difference?
A domain is your house's address. Hosting is the land the house stands on. You need both, and they are not the same thing.
A domain is your house's address — the name people type to reach you, like logoxpress.org. Hosting is the land the house stands on — the server that actually stores the site's files.
Both are needed together for a site to work. Some providers bundle them together, and some let you choose each separately.
Without a domain and hosting, your site simply does not exist on the internet.
