Questions to ask before signing with any branding agency
Five minutes of questions before signing can save you months of regret. This checklist is free and complete.
The contract is signed and expectations are set — this is the single most important moment in any branding project, and most later problems could have been avoided with simple questions beforehand.
Questions about the process
- What exactly are the project stages, and who owns each one?
- How many revision rounds are included, and what counts as extra?
- Is there a research and strategy session before any design, or does design begin immediately?
Questions about delivery
- Exactly what will I receive at the end? Ask for a written list.
- Does full ownership of the design transfer to me after payment?
- Is there support after delivery, and for how long?
Before signing any branding contract, ask these questions in this order — the answers reveal more than any portfolio.
