A complete visual identity — what you should actually receive
Many people pay for a visual identity and receive a single PNG. Here is the full list of what should actually be in your hands after delivery.
"I received my identity" can mean very different things depending on who designed it. This list clarifies what should actually be there.
The core files
- The logo in multiple formats — vector (AI/EPS/SVG), not images alone.
- Logo variants: horizontal, stacked, icon-only, single-colour, black and white.
- Colour codes in every format (HEX, RGB, CMYK) — not a written description.
- The typeface files or their exact names.
The usage guide
Brand guidelines are a document showing clear space rules, prohibited uses, and applied examples across print and social media.
If you received your identity without vector files and a usage guide, you did not receive a complete identity.
Common questions
- Do these files change the package price?
- Any serious company lists these deliverables in the proposal from the start — not as a surprise after payment.
